So the trend of our entire travels has been to be rushing at the last minute... and no surprise our first day of traveling began the same way... So we woke up late for our 5am flight and rushed to make sandwhiches for the road (which would be later confiscated by new zealand customs after the customs dog sniffed us out ) we also finished packing our bags in a rush and paying the rent...
In the end we made it to Wellington fine :) and dropped our bags at the hotel and went to Te Papa national museum (1 of top 3 museums in the world) it was awesomeeee !!!
Next we visited the wharf, harbour, the central business district and the botanical gardens :) the city on the whole was dead but that was because they had celebrated new zealand's win in the rugby 7s game the night before and the monday was a national holiday . and generally the city is not that busy :)
Quiet is nice but it makes you miss your family that much more !
We finished off the night with some indian food and then headed off to bed .. 6:30 wake up to meet the rest of the tour group !
