So day 2 started off with a one hour walk to campus (which we thought we could do in 20 minutes) in the blistering heat .. The region from our apartment to the Uni is all hills and makes for one hell of a hike :)
We explored the school, went to academic advising, student services and IT...
First: Australia needs to upgrade their IP framework.. were paying for internet at school! and its $10/ Gb :0
Second: we went and spoke to a few travel agents to look for prices on a trip to New Zealand over the next few weeks.. we will finalize tomorrow ! :)
Finally we went to the supermarket to buy some necessities for the apartment and realized that we were lost and that having our mothers there would have made life sooooo much easier.. albeit the shopping / carrying bags / cooking when we got home made for a great laugh !

ps. major cyclone is going to hit the north of queensland tonight but we should only get rain in brisbane.. I hope lol
